A contract written around how you actually work.

Generic precedents describe a business that does not exist. Drafting starts with understanding what yours does.

Why templates fail

A downloaded template is written for an average business in an average situation. It will contain clauses irrelevant to you, omit the ones that matter most in your sector, and — most damagingly — describe a delivery process that bears no relation to how you actually operate.

When a dispute arises, the gap between the contract and the reality is exactly where the argument happens.

How we draft

The first conversation is about operations, not law: how the work is won, what you promise, what could go wrong, who your customers are and what leverage each side has. The drafting follows from that.

What we commonly draft

Standard terms are worth the investment

A single well-drafted set of terms, used consistently, is worth more than any individual negotiation. It sets your default position, means every deal starts from your paper rather than theirs, and removes the temptation to agree to something unusual because it was easier at the time.

FAQ

Common questions.

How long does drafting take?
A set of standard terms typically takes one to two weeks including a round of revisions. Bespoke agreements depend on complexity and how quickly the commercial terms settle.
Often that is the efficient route — we analyse what you have, keep what works and rewrite what does not.
Publishing them helps, but incorporation into the contract is what matters legally. We will advise on how to bring them into each deal so they actually apply.
Yes. Consumer contracts are subject to a separate regime covering fairness, cancellation rights and information requirements. Business terms used with consumers frequently contain clauses that are simply unenforceable.
